Sahand Industrial and Commercial Park
In keeping with the established policy of the Municipality of Tehran, to relocate over 98,000 light service industry units to the outer limits of the Tehran central area, the authorities have given their tentative approval for the development of the Sahand Project.
The development combines a balanced mix of over 3,000 light industrial and service units with an average covered area of about 245 m2, dedicated to five specified trades, together with approximately 2,200 commercial and office units.
The project includes vocational schools sponsored by the appointed trades, sports and amenity centers, banks, clinics and other public buildings, covering in total approximately 2,000,000 m2 of land.
The site is located off the Saveh road, with easy access to the railway network, Imam Khomeini and Mehrabad Airports. The project will create approximately 12,000 new jobs and relocate a further 8,000 from outdated workshops from the center of Tehran.

1. Existing infrastructure (Telephone, electricity, water, gas, sewage disposal and treatment and reuse of waste water.)
2. The vast size of the project and the ability to offer localities within the project to different industrial sectors.
3. Accessibility: The site is easily accessible by Saveh freeway and the Marghad Emam freeway.
4. Green Area: The project has been designed with large Green areas within the project and a Green Belt surrounding the development.
5. The site is adjacent to the city of Chardongeh and Islam Shahr, hence providing substantial employment opportunities to the local workforce and thereby reducing additional housing needs.
6. Easy accessibility to the railway system, airports, customs depots and terminals.
7. The site is adjacent to an existing light industrial complex which currently accommodates 2,800 units, hence helping to create a center for these trades.

مجتمع صنايع سبك سهند براي انتقال صنوف آلاينـده شهر و جابجائي حدود 000ر98 واحد سبك صنعتي در زميني حدود 200 هكتار قريب بر 3000 واحد كارگاهي همراه با مراكز خدماتي و امكانات رفاهي كارگاهي براي جمعيت شاغل حدود 20 هزار نفر در نظر گرفته شده است .
موقعيت مكاني سايت پروژه در ناحيه جنوب غربي استان تهران در كيلومتر 5/3 جاده ساوه قرار دارد .
اين پروژه باعث ايجاد حدودا" 000ر12 موقعيت شغلي جديد و جابجائي حدود 000ر8 كارگاه صنعتي از مركز تهران خواهد بود .
