In 1997 three companies: Kandovan, Paradis and Kandovan Rah each with different history in the construction industry were combined to form KPK in order to use the synergies in manpower and equipment resources.
Paradis Construction Company was established in 1962 as a Civil Engineering Contracting Company. As its first contract , it undertook to construct part of the Tehran - Karaj freeway, and soon after, the contract for the construction of the grain silos in Zahedan was awarded to the company.
In 1967, with a change of management and injection of capital, Paradis began its transformation into a dynamic Civil Engineering Contracting Company. Over the following few years, it built up a substantial fleet of road construction equipment, which was supported by a well-trained technical staff, both Iranian and European. Thus it was able to undertake some of the major Civil Engineering projects of that time.
In the 70’s with the rapid expansion of the oil industry, Paradis as a pioneer in this field began to participate in the Oil and Gas Pipeline projects, and before long it was involved in the installation of oil production units, and secondary recovery by gas injection.
As the work capacity of the company increased, so did the volume and variety of the work - to the extent that some of the highly technical
and /or difficult projects in remote and inaccessible locations were awarded to the company.
In 1990 with the commencement of the large freeway projects, Kandovan Construction Company was established as a sister company. The intent was to inject, yet again, new management with a team of young and enthusiastic engineers eager to participate in the new development projects.
As its first operation, Kandovan was awarded the contract for the construction of two sections (43 Kms) of the Ghazvin-Zanjan 6 - lane freeway.
Almost simultaneously, the contract for the construction of 46 km of 24” gas line in the mountainous Sarcheshmeh area was awarded to the company. Thus it became established both in the civil engineering field and the pipeline industry.
With the rapid increase in development projects, and government limitations on the amount of work an individual contractor can undertake, it became evident that yet another company would be required to be able to take on more work. As result, in 1995 KandovanRah Construction Company was formed to carry out the widening and resurfacing of 71 km of the Behshahr-Gorgan Freeway

در سال 1997 شرکتهای کندوان ـ پاراديس وکندوان راه هرکدام با تاريخچه اي متفاوت در صنعت راه و ساختمان بمنظور دستيابي به راندمانی بالاتر از نيروي کار و تجهيزات گروه KPK را تشکيل دادند .
شركت ساختمانــي پاراديس در ســـال 1962 بصورت يك شركت مقاطعه كاري مهندسي عمران تاسيس شد . اين شركت در اولين قرارداد مقاطعه كاري
اش بخشــي از ساختمان آزاد راه تهران - كرج را بعهـــده گرفت و اندكي بعد قــــرارداد ساختمان سيلــــوي گنــــدم زاهدان به اين شركت اعطاء گرديد .
در سال 1967 با تغييري در مديريت شركت و افزايش سرمايه شروع به تبديل شدن به يك شركت مقاطعه كــــاري فعال گشت . در چند سال اخير اين شركت يك ناوگان اساسي را از نظر تجهيزات جاده سازي برپـــا كرد كه توســـط كادرفني دوره ديده ايرانـــي و اروپائي پشتيباني ميشوند . بنابراين قادر شـــد كه بعضي از پـــروژه ها و طرحهــــاي عمده مهندسي عمران را در آن زمان تقبل كند .
شركت پاراديس در سال 70 با گسترش سريع صنايع نفت به
عنـوان پيشگامي در اين زمينه در پروژه هاي خط لوله نفت و گاز وارد شده و بيش از مدت مديدي مشغول به نصب واحدهاي توليدي نفت و بازيابي ثانوي توسط تزريق گاز ميباشد .
از آنــجا که ظرفــيت كاري شركت افزايــش يافت و حجم و تنوع كار نيز تا حـــدي گسترش پيدا كرد بعضي از پروژه هاي تكنولوژي بالا يا پروژه هاي مشكل در نقاط دوردست و غير قابــــل دسترس به اين شركت واگذار شد .
در ســـال 1990 با آغاز پروژه هاي بزرگ آزاد راهها ، شـركت ساختمانـي كندوان بعنوان يکی از شركتهای وابسته به گروه تاسيس گشت . منظور از تاسيس اين شركت اين بود كه مديريت جديدي را دوباره با گروهي از مهندسان جـــوان و پرشور كه مشتـــاق كار در پروژه هاي جديد توسعه بودند را بکار گيرند .
بعنـــوان اوليــــن كــار اجرائي قـرارداد ساختمان دو بخش از آزاد راه 6 باندي قزوين / زنجان ( هر يك 34 كيلومتر ) به شركت اعطاء گرديد .
تقريبا" همزمان ، 46 كيلومتر از خط لوله گاز 24 اينچي در ناحيه كوهستاني سرچشمه به اين شركت اعطاء شد . بنابرايــــن اين شركت هم در زمينه مهندسي عمران و هم در صنايع خط لوله فعال بود . با افزايش سريع پروژه هاي توسعه و محدوديت هاي دولتي از نظر مقدار كاري كه يك مقاطعه كار ميتواند قبول كند روشن گشت نياز به شرکت ديگری است تا قادر به پذيرش آن حجم بالای کاری باشد . در نتيجه در سال 1995 شركت ساختماني « كندوان راه » تشكيل شد تا تعريض روسازي 71 كيلومتر از آزاد راه بهشهر / گرگان را انجام دهد .
